Individual

Everyday we decide how much we’ll contribute at work. It’s an individual decision, resting on what we see happening around us, how valued we feel and what we know about people’s expectations.

Creating interventions that maximise the chance that people will choose to engage positively at work is at the heart of any programme designed to improve business performance through better levels of engagement.

Our interventions are based on a model that emphasises individual responsibility and collective benefit. Without this, interventions can come across as command and control management dressed up in glossy brochures, whiz bang events and short-lived jargon. Instead we work to enable each person to realise their own personal responsibility for change and future success.

Second, we recognise that within any organisation some find these approaches more difficult. Our interventions therefore often feature simple skills training and facilitation and frequently individual coaching, particularly for first line managers. This helps to support and embed the transition and create a truly engaging workplace.

You'll only truly drive engagement when it's just the way you run your business. Therefore our interventions are designed to make the whole 'engagement thing' transparent.

At this level each team uses its own data about what is driving engagement. Each team creates an improvement plan using their priorities. And each team monitors its impact.

Aggregated across your organisation this provides a huge vehicle for cultural change and business improvement. These interventions promote a high level of agreement on the point of 'working here'. In line with our model of change
